Founder - Mr. Clark G Hatch
Mr. Clark G Hatch, just out of the military, opened his first Clark Hatch Fitness Center in 1965 at the basement of an apartment complex in the heart of
Tokyo, Japan.
In 1972, he expanded our of Japan to Seoul, Korea and in 1974 was involved in his first hotel chain and opend in Hong Kong.
Expansion continued into Manila, Philippines in 1975.
It was in 1976 that Mr. Hatch moved to sunny, Honolulu, Hawaii where he still operates today at the Hawaii Building and maintains his residence.
1978 was the year he opened in Jakarta, Indonesia followed by Singapore in 1979.
1980 proved to be a hectic year with new centers opened in Bangkok, Taipei and the opening of the first Clark Hatch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In the early 1980's, Clark Hatch expanded to several locations within the United States, mainly Dallas, Seattle, Kuaii, Guam, Tucson, Minneapolis, San
Francisco and Palm Springs.
1983 marks the opening of new centers in Brisbane and Sydney, Australia.
China as the next country to be penetrated in 1986.
Mr. Hatch signed an agreement on 1996 to open in Hanoi, Vietnam. This was followed by an opening in Cambodia in 1997.
In the year 2000, Mr. Hatch selected Kuala Lumpur as the corporate headquarters.
In the same year, Clark Hatch launched it's premier brand, Clark Hatch Fitness Centers & Lifespa. This new brand offers a luxurious spa and a
state-of-the-art fitness facility.
The total lifestyle concept is the future for Clark Hatch Fitness Centers worldwide.
